About The Position

The Architecture Adjunct Faculty member is responsible for teaching courses related to Auto CAD and Revit in the Engineering Technology department during the Spring 2026 semester. The position is part-time and may involve evening courses across the Cranford, Elizabeth, and Plainfield campuses. Faculty members are expected to adhere to the course syllabus and schedule, incorporating interactive teaching methods and technologies where possible. They will also engage with diverse perspectives and utilize library resources and technology in their teaching.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in the discipline required unless otherwise specified.
• Some teaching experience is required.
• Unofficial college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience at the community college level.
• Certification or license as needed and appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses in accordance with the description published in the catalog and the approved course syllabus.
• Incorporates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures, and national perspectives into courses.
• Utilizes library resources, writing, and academic technologies in courses.
• Meets all scheduled class meetings and advises Division Dean/Assistant Dean of absences in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate grade and attendance records and submits required reports.
• Submits grades by the published deadline.
• Participates in assessment of learning outcomes and uses results for course planning.
• Plans in advance for the availability of supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment.
• Submits progress reports on students and discusses any issues with appropriate personnel.
• Adheres to College policies and procedures.
