AECOM is actively seeking an Architectural Urban Designer (urban designer III) to join our Seattle Team. This role is responsible for process of shaping the physical setting for life in cities and all urban environments (both new communities and regenerated neighborhoods) and the integration of built environment disciplines with community engagement to create or enhance places, bringing economic, environmental and social advancement. Involves the design of buildings, groups of buildings and their settings (from the street block to whole city design); integration of infrastructure and transport with the built environment,and establishing the processes that make successful development possible. The current and near-term projects that this position would support will be transformational to the communities in which they exist. (you can add local and regional projects here if you think they are of interest and attract the targeted candidate) Internally, this position will provide the opportunity to serve as an integral part of a planning and design practice that includes planners, landscape architects, architects, interior designers, engineers, and business development professionals. The position will require the ability to support design visions, concepts, and overall design process for complex multi-layered design problems and solutions. US West Buildings + Places practice includes architects, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism and planning (inclusive of landscape design) strategy + workplace consulting, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory and cost and program management. The team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, and construction; creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Within our practice you can expect to work on a wide range of small to large projects in varied market sectors such as Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Commercial, Aerospace, Higher Education, Industrial and Process, Transportation, Aviation and Federal market sectors.
