We are seeking an individual with 3-5 years of experience who can bring thoughtfulness and critical thinking to the workplace; drive projects from concept through completion, review drawings, and manage team and client expectations. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in architectural design and detailing
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Strong design skills, both graphically and architecturally
  • Familiarity with City of Austin guidelines, codes, and permit process
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD or related BIM software, AutoCAD, Adobe, and SketchUp
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of each phase of the design process along with related production and documentation required for each phase
  • Self-motivated to stay on task in a flexible work environment
  • An understanding of construction details and fabrication (construction industry experience is a bonus)
  • Positive attitude and good sense of humor

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of design documents, design proposals and presentations, Construction Documents, Specifications, and on-site Construction Administration
  • Review of documentation during design and construction
  • Communication with Clients, Vendors, Consultants, Subcontractors, and General Contractors
  • Organization of all incoming and outgoing information
  • Management of design schedule
