About The Position
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior Architectural Specification Writer to join our dynamic teams across various locations including Washington, DC, Tampa, FL, Miami, FL, Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, and Austin, TX. This role is pivotal as we continue to grow in the US, and it offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of building a better world for our planet and its people. The successful candidate will possess excellent design and communication skills, and ideally, will also provide technical architectural guidance and quality control oversight in addition to specification writing. In this position, you will be responsible for writing, editing, coordinating, and producing architectural outline specifications and 3-part specifications for a variety of projects. You will oversee the preparation of complete Project Manuals, ensuring compliance with industry standards established by CSI MasterFormat. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with multiple project teams and consultants to refine the information included in construction documents, including drawings and specifications. Your role will also involve interpreting project design requirements and translating them into detailed specifications that guide the procurement and installation of building components. Additionally, you will perform quality control reviews of design drawings, collaborate with project architects and managers in product selection, and incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects. You will be expected to maintain technical documents and informational databases, stay current with industry trends, and educate staff on specification-related issues. This position requires strong time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
