About The Position

The Architectural Services Sales Consultant will focus on promoting professional door hardware specification services to architectural accounts, utilizing a pull-through sales strategy to penetrate the market. This role involves developing relationships with architecture firms, conducting educational sessions, and collaborating with project teams to secure specifications and consulting agreements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years sales experience, preferably in a business development role; industry/architectural experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory, limited to zero overnight travel.
  • Basic understanding of security systems integrations and electronic components.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Candidate must live within the Greater NY area to call on customers in Manhattan, Long Island, and New Jersey.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in architectural sales or consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage strategic target account objectives.
  • Promote Allegion brands and architectural services.
  • Conduct architectural education sessions including Lunch and Learns and industry networking events.
  • Procure project specification opportunities using industry knowledge and network.
  • Utilize relationships and industry expertise to initiate architectural consulting agreements with firms.
  • Conduct project meetings with architectural accounts, security consultants, and owners at all project phases.
  • Collaborate closely with the local project sales team on specification projects and market meetings.
  • Maintain excellent industry and competitor product knowledge by reviewing market data.
  • Adapt to changes in the marketplace.
  • Ensure compliance with all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures.
