About The Position

The Architectural Services Representative at dormakaba is responsible for promoting the company's North American portfolio of products, solutions, and services to architectural firms, design-build firms, and government architects in the Phoenix, AZ market. This role focuses on developing long-term relationships with architectural customers and ensuring that their libraries are up to date with dormakaba's literature and technical documents. The representative will also network within firms to capture additional project architects and develop key relationships with specification managers.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in construction management, architectural design, engineering, business, or a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Current CDT (Construction Documents Technologist) and DHC (Door Hardware Consultant) certifications or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders at varying levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor/Technical/Vocational school degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' experience in the door and hardware industry.
  • 1+ years architectural sales experience.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Software (CRM) - Salesforce.
  • Current AHC (Architectural Hardware Consultant) certification and/or member Construction Specification Institute (CSI).
  • Prior experience utilizing Sandler sales methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term architectural customers by creating relationships that reflect the best interests of the architects' clients.
  • Ensure that the architectural firm's library is fully up to date with dormakaba's literature, technical documents, and relevant samples.
  • Network within architectural firms to capture additional Project Architects.
  • Develop key relationships with firms' lead specification managers.
  • Ensure completed specifications are being sent to sales teams for action.
