Rockfon is seeking an Architectural Sales Manager - NYC, to join our dynamic sales team. This territory includes Central and Northern NJ, New York City Metro and CT. The ideal candidate will be based in the greater NYC area . This position reports to the Regional Architectural Sales Manager and has no direct reports. As a pivotal team member, you will collaborate with architects and designers, effectively promoting, and specifying Rockfon products. You’ll build brand awareness and develop strategies that focus on specification and basis of design (BOD) within regional architecture and design (A&D) firms. Working in tandem with a sales representative, you will be an active participant in industry activities related to Architecture and Design (A&D), account management and maintenance, and have a keen understanding of budgeting and market price points. Creates and executes business plans by conducting regular and balanced activities with assigned and targeted A&D firms to capture mindshare, leading to sales development for meeting quota, product mix goals Presents product updates and presentations, CEUs, campaigns, and articulates value by sharing knowledge of Rockfon’s strengths Strong history of relationship development, including experience conducting small and large group presentations with end users

Requirements

  • 5+years solution-based commercial sales and design experience in interior building products
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Business, or a relevant field
  • Effectively manages business plans on CRM, keeping information current on sales activities, ongoing strategy for sales development, and results for all target accounts, and new business opportunities
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Skilled at building and maintaining high level relationships and networks
  • Microsoft Office Suite and CRM expertise
  • Ability to travel 40% with 20% overnight travel

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and designers, effectively promoting, and specifying Rockfon products.
  • Build brand awareness and develop strategies that focus on specification and basis of design (BOD) within regional architecture and design (A&D) firms.
  • Active participant in industry activities related to Architecture and Design (A&D), account management and maintenance, and have a keen understanding of budgeting and market price points.
  • Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders, including principals, design leadership, designers, and project architects, fostering trust to create preference for Rockfon and increase specifications
  • Creates and executes business plans by conducting regular and balanced activities with assigned and targeted A&D firms to capture mindshare, leading to sales development for meeting quota, product mix goals
  • Presents product updates and presentations, CEUs, campaigns, and articulates value by sharing knowledge of Rockfon’s strengths
  • Strong history of relationship development, including experience conducting small and large group presentations with end users
