About The Position

As a Architectural Project Manager, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for managing a variety of Engineering projects from conception to completion. You will apply your experience to all aspects of the project within your expertise. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural Engineering departments for development of the construction documents. Duties will also include communication with Client(s) throughout the life of the projects. You will be responsible for assigning tasks to team members, checking task progress, and ensuring that each project is completed on time and to the highest standard.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture required
  • 5+ years of Architectural or Engineering Project Management experience in a responsible position. Preferably with commercial projects, retail preferred.
  • Must have AutoCAD and Revit experience
  • MS Office

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Architect preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects with multiple clients simultaneously, while ensuring that timelines are met and communicated.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for clients.
  • Manage the financial performance for projects including profit and efficiency evaluations and managing accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
  • Manage project plans including allocating resources, preparing and monitoring project budgets, and scheduling within project parameters.
  • Identify design criteria and oversee an efficient design and plan preparation.
  • Solve design problems using engineering calculations and following general design standards.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines and external project team.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor Project Engineers and Project Designers.
  • Follow QAQC practices and procedures while continuing to look for opportunities for improvement of quality and efficiency.
  • Responsible for fostering continued client relationships and looking for avenues of growth with those clients.
  • Participate in new client pursuits.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of constructability and complex design and identify liability issues related to design and construction.
  • Able to provide risk assessment on projects, estimate potential risks along with costs and probabilities.
