About The Position

Join our partner firm, GastingerWalker&, as an experienced Project Architect / Project Manager to lead the design and coordination of complex architectural projects, with a strong emphasis on government work (DOD, GSA, USACE, and related agencies). This role is ideal for a highly organized, technically skilled, and collaborative professional who can successfully guide projects from concept through construction. The Project Architect / Project Manager will serve as a key point of contact for clients, internal teams, and consultants, ensuring design excellence, technical accuracy, and timely delivery of project milestones. Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of professional architectural experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Professional architectural licensure preferred or active pursuit of licensure
Strong technical proficiency in Revit and related design and documentation tools
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills
Ability to work full-time on-site and attend client and project meetings as required
Ability to obtain government security clearances, as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience with MILCON, GSA, or other government projects
Working knowledge of FAR clauses and UFC requirements

Responsibilities

Support architectural projects from initial concept through construction administration, ensuring design excellence, technical accuracy, and adherence to project schedules
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clear priorities, timelines, and deliverables
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication, design presentations, and regular progress updates
Facilitate coordination among multidisciplinary engineering teams and external consultants
Represent the firm in on-site and off-site meetings, including client workshops, construction meetings, and consultant coordination sessions
Develop, review, and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Ensure design solutions comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and project requirements
Lead construction administration efforts, including RFIs, submittals, site visits, punch lists, and ongoing contractor communication
Collaborate closely with firm leadership to support project planning, resource allocation, and adherence to firm standards
Contribute to a positive, productive, and collaborative studio culture through daily in-office engagement
