About The Position

The Facilities group at Weston & Sampson is an architectural & engineering design group headquartered in New England, with additional team members located in New York, North Carolina and Florida. We are seeking Project Managers with approximately 12 + years' experience for our Ft. Myers, Florida office. Work will include architectural design projects for the Facility group's clients, supporting the company's other engineering discipline groups, and participating and contributing to the expansion of the Facility group's growing project base. We foster a collaborative and innovative design process with a focus on multi-faceted and complex public works, industrial, and recreational facilities for municipalities throughout New England and down the east coast.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of substantial experience as a productive member of a project design team with strong technical and Revit skills.
  • Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, confidence and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors and facilities project team members.
  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to function in all phases of project development from schematic design through contract administration.
  • Revit/BIM Fluency is mandatory, working experience with AutoCAD desirable.
  • Strong construction experience and knowledge of architectural technical detailing.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead a project team and guide production of construction documents, including coordination with internal and external engineering disciplines.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Support our Facilities Architecture team in the planning and design of new and renovated facilities.
  • Work includes programming and conceptual planning through construction document preparation and construction administration.
  • Provide Architectural support to other Weston & Sampson discipline groups including Landscape Architecture, Aquatics, Environmental, Federal Installations, Transportation, Water, and Wastewater.
  • Supervise project team on delegated tasks and coordinate the project team with input from the Project Manager.
  • Participate in professional organizations and technical committees.
  • Collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal multi-disciplinary teams.
