About The Position

Viera Builders, Inc . is seeking a full-time, salaried Architectural Production Manager to oversee residential architectural production and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all plans and related documents. This role is responsible for maintaining master plans and bid sets, managing civil plats and drawings, and overseeing lot fits and matrices to eliminate plan and layout errors. The Architectural Production Manager proactively identifies variances and drives corrective action to support accurate, on-time project starts. Serving as a first-line leader within the architectural department, this position coordinates daily activities, supports team performance, and leads clear, timely communication across departments. The role partners closely with the Senior Architectural Manager to support daily production output and uphold efficiency, quality, and consistency across all architectural deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, CADD, or Business Management preferred
  • Expert‑level proficiency in CADD; CADD license preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in construction and drafting, including 5+ years in architectural or structural drafting
  • Demonstrated civil knowledge related to residential development and site constraints
  • At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and writing/editing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development of new master plans in AutoCAD, coordinating with structural, truss, and civil engineers, and verifying all lot‑specific truss designs against approved master truss layouts
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date master plans by reviewing and redlining revisions and issuing updated bid sets and change logs to Purchasing
  • Verify all lot‑specific truss layouts against approved master and engineered designs, track daily plan status, manage revisions from master updates or county comments, coordinate engineer re‑seals, and resubmit plans for permit approval
  • Attend new model frame walks to document changes, prepare plan redlines, manage lot‑specific releases initiated prior to completion, and ensure master plan updates are applied correctly based on frame walk documentation
  • Oversee and verify civil plats and lot fits to ensure footprint placement, setbacks, drainage, utilities, and regulatory requirements are met, identifying issues and variances early to support compliant community development
  • Track and manage all lot fits and community lot matrices to ensure timely, accurate distribution of county‑approved layouts, models, orientations, and site constraints to Sales and Surveying
  • Partner with the Director of Construction during community walk‑throughs to validate final lot fit placement, revise as needed, and deliver finalized lot matrices to Sales
  • Maintain accurate, consistent marketing and web‑based plans and lot fit tools by coordinating with third‑party developers and communicating updates across departments
