About The Position

This position requires working with Architects, Engineers & Customers in developing/designing the use of perforated metals. Read and interpret architectural blueprints thoroughly and create AutoCAD takeoffs in order to create quotations. Time and material estimating using established methods and formulas in excel. Communicate with Architects to facilitate the design process from conceptual drawings to actual products. Manage and interpret customer requirements - understanding, anticipating, and exceeding customer expectations. Work with customers to assist in producing the design of finished products in accordance with architectural plans. Proactively facilitate timely solutions to customer issues by utilizing the available resources or creating resources. Successfully lead and coordinate projects, utilizing Customer Service, Engineering, Sales & outside Sales Reps and sub-contractors from start to finish. Assist with the creation of custom print elevation details required for installation and permit approvals. Develop new products to continue growth and development of company product line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
  • Drafting skill with AutoCAD to create product detail drawings
  • Fabrication knowledge in sheet metal processes
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication equipment. (i.e. Shears, Brakes, CNC Punch, Lasers, Welders, ex)
  • Ability to interpret architectural blueprints and create AutoCAD takeoffs
  • Mathematical computation skills and strong computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to communicate at multiple organizational levels
  • Strong telephone communication skills & presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Ability to work independently and/or with limited supervision
  • Exercises decision making within policy guidelines
  • Ability to travel as needed for business purposes
  • Strong design and development mindset - "outside the box" thinking skills
