About The Position

The Architectural Engineer will be responsible for performing architectural and engineering calculations, preparing specifications, and maintaining communication with design and drafting teams. The role involves supervising and coordinating project activities, ensuring quality and completeness of work, and providing technical guidance to personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university with at least 4 years of architectural experience, or 12 years of architectural experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong AutoCAD and Revit experience.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to the nature of the work.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a (Secret/Top Secret) clearance after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project coordination with all other disciplines on assigned projects under the direction of the Supervising Architect.
  • Provide status updates to the Supervising Architect regarding assignments, including schedule, budgets, delays, and problems.
  • Supervise, assign work, set priorities, evaluate, and train technical and architectural personnel.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to technical and architectural personnel.
  • Upgrade technical knowledge and capabilities continually.
  • Ensure quality, quantity, and completeness of architectural/engineering work required.
  • Plan and schedule architectural/engineering efforts associated with assigned projects.
  • Maintain timeliness and accuracy of oral and written technical reports regarding assigned activities.
  • Maintain proper architectural/engineering files and records.
  • Perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets as directed by the Supervising Architect.
  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments on assigned projects.
  • Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
  • Perform programming, observation, and customer interviews.
  • Manage office CADD programs and activities, chair the CADD Committee, and coordinate with members and other office personnel.
