The position involves providing services in research and reviewing the design, development, construction, alteration, or repair of diplomatic buildings and/or structures to ensure appropriate security of the construction project. The role requires reviewing project plans, Construction Security Plans, construction blueprints, architectural drawings, and technical data to determine compliance with relevant Department of State (DoS) and Intelligence Community (IC) standards. The individual will provide advice and guidance to federal leadership on recommended changes and solutions to correct security deficiencies, collaborate with project stakeholders on proposed solutions and design remediation, and assist project stakeholders with the preparation of Congressional certification or internal confirmation packages. Additionally, the role includes responding to Requests for Information, reviewing and reporting on construction Security Plans, providing consulting advice, and supporting the Congressional security certification process for US diplomatic facilities.
