About The Position

RGS Products Inc. is a full-service, architectural metals and glass fabrication company, located in Northwestern Pennsylvania. With over 100 years of combined experience, RGS provides custom product design, engineering, fabrication and installation services. We specialize in the following products: Ornamental Railings, Including: Glass, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Cable Aluminum Screens and Louvers Aluminum and Glass Canopies Aluminum and Glass Trellises Custom Decorative Aluminum Structures This position is in person and the selected conidate will be required to be in the office full time. Average work hours are from 8:00A-5:00P, with OT as needed. Compensation is determined by skill & experience. Please read the job description below. We look forward to hearing from you! You will be responsible for the oversight and preparation of design documents and drawings during the execution of construction projects. This position will produce architectural drawings including plans, sections, and details along with bills of material. Must know how to read and comprehend Architectural and Fabrication blueprints.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD required 2+ years.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar.
  • Efficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficient interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Efficient organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Efficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • At least two years of AutoCAD experience is required.
  • Must know how to read and comprehend Architectural and Fabrication blueprints.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Revit is recommended.
  • Experience with construction, manufacturing, and/or aluminum extrusions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create full-scale and detailed designs from an architect’s rough drawings.
  • Analyze building codes and regulations to determine how they will affect architectural designs.
  • Draws and details plans based on instructions provided by engineers and architects.
  • Occasionally visit job sites to gather data and measurements needed to complete designs.
  • Determines the types of materials needed for the project and calculates the quantity to be ordered.
  • Assures work completed is accurate and within project deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
