About The Position

At BSA, we design spaces that inspire and enhance healing, learning, and discovery. We are currently seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Houston team and help create environments that make a meaningful impact on communities.

Requirements

• Design related technical degree, Bachelors or Professional degree in applicable field.
• 5-10 years of applicable experience.
• Expertise/Mastery of concepts from Designer I and II.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to all members of the design team.
• Architectural design and planning process on projects. Assist in client engagement through all processes and tools.
• May lead preparation of design presentation documentation, design process documentation, and working drawings.
• Presents portions of design to client, participate in consulting partner or design committee meetings and discuss need for modification for change.
• Communicates and improves all aspects of design processes with other team members.
• Develop quality project documents. Participates in all design and construction phases of projects.
• May 'own' small projects in entirety and/or significant portions of larger projects related to project delivery.
• Participates in project debriefs and lesson’s learned sessions.
• Meet deadlines and manage personal utilization within project budgets.
