Position Overview SNHA, A Woolpert Company is an award-winning global architectural practice, focused on performance-driven, highly complex facilities for some of the world’s largest technology clients. We blend applied research, strategic thinking, and technology-driven design methods, while seeking innovation that will define the future of our profession and drive solutions to the most complex design problems. We are seeking to hire an Architectural Designer to join our Mission Critical practice within our Buildings Team for our Chicago, IL, New York, NY offices and offer a hybrid work schedule. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture and 1-2+ years related experience.
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Must enjoy collaborating with a design team
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up and other design applications
  • Advanced-level competency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Assists Project Architect in the preparation of construction documents and specifications using computer assisted design software and equipment.
  • Assists in the preparation and production of presentation materials, models and material boards.
  • Assists in the preparation and production of various studies and reports.
  • Maintains and updates resource material library.
  • Meets with product representatives to obtain latest specifications and product information.
  • Prepares scale drawings and assists in the development of contract documents.
  • Contributes to cost estimation processes, enhancing your understanding of project budgeting and financial implications.
  • Schedules technical support staff engaged in the preparation of drawings and specification documents.
  • May coordinate technical staff project responsibilities.
  • Participates in firm-wide quality initiatives.
  • Depending on project needs, may perform a phase manager role in complex projects as needed.
