About The Position

Our niche in the retail and automotive services sector presents a compelling opportunity for the ideal candidate to join a dynamic team and participate in all phases of project development, from inception to completion, primarily on a prototypical program basis. We're seeking someone with a minimum of 3+ years of construction document experience, ideally within the retail or automotive services sector, with strong Revit skills and a shared commitment to project delivery excellence, with a positive attitude and thirst for growth. Your ability to connect with people, both internally and externally, and effectively communicate will be paramount as you support and guide projects towards success. Your overall understanding of the design and construction processes, coupled with your collaborative spirit, will drive innovation and efficiency within our multi-disciplinary team environment. The role requires the individual to be in the Northwest Arkansas region, in a hybrid setting in our Bentonville studio, for in-person collaboration and project facilitation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of construction document experience, ideally within the retail or automotive services sector
  • Strong Revit skills
  • Equivalent of a Bachelors degree in Architecture

Responsibilities

  • Designer will use 2D and 3D software to assist the Design Team in the development of designs and drafting construction documents in support of clients' building program
  • Designer should utilize education and experience to independently tackle challenges as they arise on projects with the support of Design Team lead.
  • Designer shall gain experience evaluating client requirements, building code, and zoning regulations to develop design recommendations.
  • Provide technical design planning and coordination in a collaborative and multi-disciplined environment
  • Produce accurate construction documents detailing the clients vision and goals
  • Conduct building code analysis and research regulatory requirements to determine design constraints
  • Develop design options and alternates
  • Coordinate building components and systems with other disciplines to develop construction documents based on the clients requirements
  • Designer shall perform quality control of their own work prior to giving to the Architect of Record for signing and sealing
  • Depending on needs of client and team, Designer could have direct contact with client on a regular basis
