Architectural Designer/Drafter - Entry-Level

About the position

DAHLIN is seeking an entry-level Architectural Designer/Drafter to join their Pleasanton, CA office. This role involves developing design and technical solutions under general supervision, contributing to small projects or segments of larger projects, and ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards. The position requires onsite presence a minimum of three days per week, fostering collaboration within a positive community that promotes professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop design or technical solutions under general supervision.
• Undertake a variety of assignments applying standard architectural techniques for small projects or segments of larger projects.
• Perform design layouts and features, researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work.
• Review drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards, implementing changes as directed.
• Assist project teams and other staff members as required.

Requirements

• Completion of Bachelor's in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program.
• Demonstrated skills in Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp modeling, Adobe Photoshop, and preparation of presentation materials.
• Excellent problem-solving and independent thinking skills with good listening skills and strong follow-through.
• Strong verbal and graphic communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Commitment to professional growth as a designer, architect, or planner.
• Commitment to obtaining licensure preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions or visa sponsorship.
