Our Forensic practice investigates problems in the built environment and provides evidence-based solutions founded on rigorous science and physics. We assist attorneys, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals with a wide range of engineering and architectural issues. The Role We’re excited to offer an immediate opportunity for a Forensic Architect who is passionate about uncovering how buildings perform, solving complex problems, and contributing to high-impact forensic and litigation work. This is a unique chance to blend architectural expertise with investigation, analysis, and design of repairs and retrofits—while partnering with industry-leading experts. In this role, you’ll get the opportunity to independently lead architectural investigations of existing buildings, assess conditions, and develop creative repair strategies. You’ll dive into building code analyses, fire-rated assemblies, building envelope performance (roofs, facades, and more), and cause-and-origin evaluations. You’ll also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, help guide junior staff, support business development efforts, and build meaningful client relationships.

Requirements

  • Degree (Master’s preferred) in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
  • Professional License required.
  • 8+ years of experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.

  • Revit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead independent assessments of building envelopes, fire-rated construction, and other architectural systems—including cause-and-origin investigations.
  • Observe and document field testing protocols; prepare materials used in litigation support.
  • Analyze building codes, industry standards, and construction documents; design innovative, practical repairs for deficient conditions.
  • Mentor and review work from junior staff; contribute to drafting construction documents, condition assessments, and order-of-magnitude cost estimates.
  • Communicate directly with clients to understand project needs, present findings, and prepare persuasive, well-supported reports and presentations.
  • Prepare technical and investigative reports that clearly articulate forensic findings.
  • Opportunity to testify in arbitration, deposition, or trial.
