The Architect position provides architectural support to the architecture team within LNIP. They will be responsible for understanding the existing product suite and how this is deployed within the LNIP public cloud. They have a strong understanding of cloud best practice including cost, deployment, security and development. Understanding the cost profile for cloud hosted solution within LNIP.

Requirements

  • Good experience in a software development role, delivering cloud based (ideally AWS or Azure) bespoke solutions.
  • Good working understanding of public cloud hosted offering specifically AWS and Azure.
  • Strong understanding of at least one modern programming language.
  • Experience of delivering enterprise scale solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to research and summaries new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Providing recommendation and support for how to improve the cost posture, with support from the wider architecture community.
  • Supporting the LNIP teams to better understand cloud hosting and each team's responsibilities.
  • Evaluating modern technologies and how these can be exploited within LNIP.
  • Identifying and offering resolution for cloud based hosted solution issues.
  • Supporting the wider architecture team in delivering designs and blueprints for best practice solutions thereby ensuring a standard and consistent approach for technology solutions within LNIP.
  • Ensuring that solutions are sized correctly to meet non-functional requirements.
