About The Position
Pappageorge Haymes Partners (PH) is a nationally recognized design and planning firm with expertise in multifamily residential, adaptive reuse, mixed-use, hospitality, and master planning. Our award-winning team delivers innovative architecture that shapes skylines and strengthens communities across the country. PH is seeking Architectural candidates at the entry-level, mid-level, and senior management levels to join our dynamic and growing Chicago office. The ideal candidate will be an integral member of the project team, contributing across all phases of design — from schematic design through construction completion — while building strong client relationships that support the firm’s continued growth. Requirements
- Completed a five-year architectural degree or Masters in Architecture
- Licensed Architect or is on path to licensure
- Experience at all levels welcome
- Demonstrates strong technical and graphic skills
- Possesses creativity, self-discipline, strong leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts to project teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- BIM modeling experience
Nice To Haves
- Professional experience in multifamily residential projects (preferred)
- Understanding zoning and building code regulations (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Participate in conceptual design and provide support throughout all phases of a project
- Perform design, planning, occupancy, and layout analyses
- Develop and execute technical design solutions that meet client and project requirements
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques
- Provide planning, design, and coordination support for projects ranging from small to large scale
- Carry out complex assignments requiring the development or refinement of techniques and procedures
- Plan, develop, and produce technical documentation
- Coordinate with consultants through schematic design, design development, and construction document phases
- Perform construction administration duties, including site observations, observation reports, and responses to RFIs and submittals
- Participate in marketing efforts and assist with presentations to prospective clients, as needed
- Establish and maintain productive, long-term client relationships
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced architects, as applicable
