About The Position

Delawie, a Leo A. Daly Studio, is seeking an experienced Architect III Position to join our team to work on-site in our San Diego, Calif. office. This role involves high-level project management duties from project inception through construction administration phases. The successful candidates must be a team player who is well organized, detail oriented, focused, design driven, accurate, and committed to continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Architectural license required.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in design/project management, with a focus on design and construction documents on a wide range of project types including hospitality, science & technology, corporate, industrial, federal, and educational projects.
  • Leadership experience, including managing client expectations, multi-disciplinary teams, and commitment to meeting scope/schedule/budget requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of the architectural planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration and code requirements
  • Proficiency with Revit and BIM Collaborate Pro is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp Modeling, MS Office, MS Project, and preparation of presentation materials.
  • Effective verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills.
  • Experience working with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) for project requirements and permitting.
  • Experience working directly with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects of all sizes and levels of complexity and provides project team leadership.
  • Assist in designing, documenting, and coordinating projects, from conceptualization through development and execution in the field.
  • Follow projects from inception through construction to maintain design quality and intent.
  • Develop project design schedules.
  • Estimate project staffing requirements
  • Monitor and manage project staff work loads and project budgets.
  • Support and assist other architectural technical staff in a team environment.
