About The Position

Maintains contact with clients, consultants, and contractors during all project phases Participates in marketing, client and owner presentations in support of the Principal In Charge as required Develops a thorough understanding of project’s clinical, technical, and design requirements and provides input in developing a design strategy and effectively conveys this to assigned team members when appropriate Seeks creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documents to support these solutions Actively collaborates with and coordinates work of consultants and knowledge resources to ensure the project deliverables are coordinated, integrated, and support the design concept and performance goals of the project Mentors young architects and designers, providing education in areas of healthcare expertise and architectural design and technical expertise Leads the team in the advancement of the production of schematic, design development and construction documents in compliance with project scope, schedule, cost and design intent Delivers complete, accurate and coordinated project documentation Maintains awareness of evolving healthcare technology and systems Leads the team in performing construction administration duties (e.g. RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders, etc.), including the review of shop drawings, material samples and CD’s for conformance with design

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the Architectural field
  • License required
  • Experience in Healthcare required
  • Has a passion for designing high-quality built environments that enrich the lives of patients and support staff workflow
  • Experience leading client meetings and sub-consultant coordination
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience with project teams
  • Able to manage multiple projects in varied phases of design for multiple clients at the same time
  • Excellent design, graphic and presentation skills
  • Experience with Revit required
  • Experience in preparing construction documents and construction administration
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Interested in project schedule and financial management and tracking

Nice To Haves

  • both Inpatient and Outpatient experience preferred
  • ACHA or EDAC credentials are a plus
