Requirements

  • You have a minimum of a Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, plus 3 years of experience in the offered position or as a Software Developer or Software Engineer.
  • We will accept, as an alternative, a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, plus 5 years of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in the offered position or as a Software Developer or Software Engineer.
  • All of your required experience must have included: Developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Maven, following SDLC methodologies
  • Developing microservices architecture using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Java; building and maintaining RESTful web services and APIs using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Web and Jackson
  • Architecting and administering high-performance and secure databases using Oracle database, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL (Oracle), HikariCP, JDBC and SQL
  • Creating automated deployment scripts using Shell scripting, Python, and Jenkins for CI/CD; implementing secure user authentication and access controls using Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, and JWT tokens for multi-tier applications
  • Designing and configuring enterprise-level server infrastructure using Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP stack)
  • Developing and maintaining robust Java-based backend systems using Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, and MySQL; and designing object-oriented application modules using Java design patterns (MVC, Singleton, Factory, DAO).
  • You must be willing to travel domestically up to 30% of the time for client meetings.
  • This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Houston, TX office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects for clients.
  • Define, execute, and support the following project execution disciplines: change control, status reporting, issue management, risk management, meeting/event management, deliverable management, configuration management, knowledge transfer, and project tracking.
  • Assist with project scoping, scheduling, resource allocation, staffing, and assigning tasks to team members.
  • Manage and oversee project set-up, logistics, and project tools.
  • Establish client relationships, serve as a day-to-day team leader, and develop lasting business relationships with client mid-management.
  • Execute projects, ensuring assignment/project delivery within budget and project delivery margin (PDM).
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including administrative matters (billing, collections, expense controls, invoices).
  • Develop an Account Plan incorporating company goals, client imperatives, and power maps.
  • Lead development of POV/pitch materials.
  • Structure and write stakeholder reports, presentations, and other larger written communications.
  • Mentor and evaluate team members and provide feedback for greater detail and clarity.
