Applicants should have an enthusiasm for big picture strategy, developing relationships, and designing K-12 and higher education spaces. As an Architect for the Education Business Unit, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions. In this role, you will work directly with Charlotte Nienhaus , Senior Architect, Sue Peterson , Education Strategy Specialist and Kevin Bills , Education Business Unit Leader. You will also collaborate with a dedicated team of project managers, architects, engineers, and business development specialists that support the Education Business Unit. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited architecture program, or equivalent experience
  • Licensed to practice architecture
  • K-12 experience, required
  • Ability to connect and promote ISG’s solutions to clients
  • Ability to communicate ideas empathetically and visually through both written and verbal communications
  • Ability to represent ISG and clients in public forums
  • Familiarity in Revit, Adobe Suite and Sketchup computer software packages
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, participate with a variety of team members on different projects at varying levels of development

Responsibilities

  • Lead K–12 project delivery while supporting business development through identifying and pursuing new opportunities and building strong relationships with clients and industry partners (construction managers, program managers, and owner’s representatives)
  • Guide projects from concept through construction completion, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver strategic, high-quality design solutions aligned with project goals
  • Coordinate proposals and lead client engagement, presentations, and stakeholder decision-making
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, and documentation to ensure quality and successful execution
  • Provide daily mentorship to project architects and project managers on active projects, conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and client satisfaction, and foster innovative, community-focused outcomes that bring client visions to life
  • Regardless of your office, you will assist in winning and executing work within the Education Business Unit throughout the entire ISG footprint.
  • Because of this, travel may be necessary at times.
