Stanley Consultants is seeking an Architectural Intern for our Muscatine, IA office. This position requires the application of standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related architectural design tasks.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture
  • Requires 1–5 years of relevant experience
  • Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter with ability to work with some degree of independence
  • Must be able to work on several projects at one time
  • Possess above average, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a general knowledge of construction techniques
  • Requires the ability to read plans and specifications
  • Must have a thorough understanding of conceptual design
  • Proficiency in Revit required, AutoCAD skills are a plus
  • Working toward architectural licensure

Responsibilities

  • Work with a Licensed Architect to prepare architectural construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit
  • Assist in performing basic analysis of design and construction systems, planning and occupancy studies, design layouts, and construction details
  • Assist in researching, gathering, and recording information for use in writing specifications
  • Inspect sites and work under construction and submit reports on observations
