Our Forensic practice investigates problems in the built environment and provides evidence-based solutions founded on rigorous science and physics. We assist attorneys, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals with a wide range of engineering and architectural issues. The Role We have an opportunity for an Architect Intern for our Forensics Practice. Architect Interns will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of staff architects and engineers to assist with a variety of tasks for active projects. This is a full-time internship for Summer 2026. While project work can vary greatly from day to day, typical tasks may include the following: On-site survey, investigation, and documentation of building conditions, including façade, roof, interiors, structural and other mechanical/ fire protection systems. Assist in preparing field notes. Assist architectural or engineering team in preparing technical and investigative reports to support forensics findings and prepare materials related to presentations. Review and research applicable building codes, ADA standards, and all other applicable industry standards, etc. Assist the architectural team with the preparation of drawings and specifications, and construction administration services. Students should be familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Suite programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD programs (i.e. AutoCAD). Familiarity with any of the following programs is a plus, but is not required: Revit, Rhino, and Bluebeam.
