Archery Specialist - Camp Fireweed
About The Position
The Camp Fireweed Archery Specialist adheres to Camp Fire Alaska’s (CFAK) promise to provide youth with the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are through positive and responsible youth/adult interactions within the day camp environment. An Archery Specialist will be responsible for providing instruction, guidance, and supervision to staff and campers during Archery lessons and camp activities. In this position you'll gain valuable experience providing a high-quality camp experience for participants and parents within the CFA mission and goals. You'll have an opportunity to lead and participate in all camp activities along with planning and implementing age appropriate activities consistent with campers' needs/abilities that promote, encourage, and demonstrate caring, striving and thriving. Requirements
- Current certification in archery instruction from a nationally organized provider(s) or ability to obtain prior to season start.
- Eighteen (18) years of age required to maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting entities.
- Current Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/ First Aid Certification from a nationally recognized provider.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in instructing archery preferred.
- Prior experience working with youth preferred.
