About The Position

Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) is seeking motivated UNT students interested in gaining hands-on experience in archeology and cultural resource management (CRM). No prior field or lab experience is required — training is provided by professional archaeologists. This internship provides valuable exposure to basic archeological data collection, laboratory, and methodological skills and will help students understand how archaeology supports environmental compliance and project planning.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in Anthropology or related major at UNT
• Interest in archeology, history, geography, or environmental science
• Ability to work outdoors and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist with archeological field surveys and shovel testing
• Process and catalog artifacts in the lab
• Collect GPS data and perform basic mapping
• Manage data
• Conduct background research and project curation
