About The Position

MNS Engineers, Inc. (MNS) is a growing, multi-service consulting firm offering construction management, civil engineering, surveying, community planning, agency staffing, housing and environmental planning services throughout California. MNS is jointly owned by the management team and Long Point Capital who work together to ensure the success of the firm, and to accelerate the growth of the Company both organically and through acquisition. With nine (9) offices throughout California, the Company has historically provided services to transportation, water resources, government services, and federal markets for more than 60 years, and with the addition of our planning services group, we are well positioned to continue that excellence as we grow and build in the future. Our cultural resource management team is growing, and we are seeking to hire qualified field Archaeologists on a full-time and hourly, project-hire basis for a variety of project locations throughout California. The selected candidate(s) will work with MNS cultural resources staff on conducting field surveys, excavations, and monitoring projects throughout California. The successful candidate(s) can be based out of Northern, Central, or Southern California. Competitive compensation commensurate with previous experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field.
  • Attended an accredited archaeological field school
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cultural resources management experience identifying artifacts and features in the field
  • Experience completing California DPR 523 forms
  • A high energy, passionate, result-oriented team player
  • Ability to handle critical conversations with internal staff, managers and leaders
  • Anticipative, forward thinking, and excels working independently.
  • Valid California Class C driver's license and an acceptable driver’s record are required
