The Registered Nurse (RN) at Arcadia Home Care and Staffing is responsible for delivering competent, quality patient care through the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient care plans. This role involves providing quality case management and directing patient care to clients while adhering to established professional standards of care, agency guidelines, policies, and procedures. The RN acts as a vital liaison between the agency, patients, and their families, ensuring effective communication and understanding of care services provided. In this position, the RN will develop, implement, and evaluate care plans that align with physician orders, assessing the patient's needs, condition, and environment. The RN is responsible for maintaining an ongoing caseload, coordinating associated services, and ensuring that care plans are updated as necessary. The role requires regular communication with supervisors and record review committees, as well as collaboration with other health team members to maintain effective patient care coordination. The RN will also provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding home care, schedule workloads for efficiency, and participate in agency evaluation programs. Additionally, the RN will supervise and teach other nursing personnel, including home health aides, and will be responsible for writing discharge summaries upon the conclusion of services. The RN may assign certain patient care tasks to licensed practical nurses and home health aides while maintaining overall responsibility for the care provided. This position may require rotating weekend, night, and holiday call to ensure adequate patient coverage.
