About The Position

As an Arcade Game Technician, your days will be active and varied installing, repairing and providing technical support for arcade games throughout the greater US. You’ll have the opportunity to install and support the arcade industry’s newest equipment with all travel related expenses and travel time paid. At Shaffer, our service technicians build a strong sense of camaraderie with each other and take great pride in everything they do. Normal work hours are M-F 8-5 PM while in the office. Overtime likely when traveling. Ability to travel up to a week, two times per month for the periodic installations across the U.S. (this is an estimate) All expenses covered while traveling! Reporting office location preferred: Columbus, OH. Requirements

  • Strong communicative skills including both verbal and written
  • Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment circuitry and mechanical assemblies
  • Computer repair knowledge with basic networking skills
  • Ability to follow manufacturers installation instructions and program settings.
  • Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work independently
  • Detail oriented

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair arcade equipment across the U.S.
  • Set up and configure payment kiosks, POS systems, and card readers
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing equipment
  • Provide post-sale support and training to customers
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members
