About The Position

The Davey Tree Expert Company is looking for exceptional students who are interested in expanding their field experience in the areas of Tree Care, Plant Health Care, Sales and Client Services. This is a Spring - Summer 2026 Arborist Trainee Internship based in Dallas, TX. Interns will learn to be tree doctors, gaining hands-on experience in tree care, tree climbing, chainsaw use, plant health care, and customer service. Internships may vary in length depending on availability, and interns will be assigned a manager for mentorship throughout their experience. The role involves working on residential and commercial properties as well as in an office setting.

Requirements

• Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline.
• Driver's license required; Commercial driver's license is highly valuable.
• Enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture.
• Love of the outdoors and a positive attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to report for work regularly and punctually.
• Collaboration and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in tree care or related fields.
• Previous internships or volunteer work in horticulture or forestry.
