About The Position

Family HealthCare, located in the Fargo-Moorhead area, is seeking a PRN Arabic Interpreter. As a Medical Interpreter, you will facilitate communication among individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP), service providers, and staff. Must be able to attend In-Person Appointments in the Fargo/Moorhead area

Responsibilities

• Remain sensitive to cultures associated with the language of expertise.
• Provide sight translation of documents as required.
• Adhere to interpreter standards of practice and code of ethics.
• Provide education to individuals and providers/staff on culturally specific values, beliefs, and practices that are relevant to the encounter.
• Relay concepts and ideas between languages.
• Thoroughly understand medical terminology and other subject matters to convert source language to target language effectively.
