About The Position
As an Arabic Interpreter at Pham Bell Global Language Services, LLC, you will be instrumental in bridging communication gaps between Arabic-speaking individuals and those who speak English. This role is essential in various settings, including medical appointments, legal proceedings, and meetings, where clear and accurate communication is paramount. Your primary responsibility will be to interpret spoken language and translate written materials, ensuring that all parties understand each other without any barriers. You will be expected to arrive at the location 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time to prepare for the interpretation session, which is set for September 13, 2024, at 3:00 PM EDT. The exam time is at 3:30 PM, and you should allow 1-2 hours for the entire process. In addition to interpreting, you may also be required to utilize American Sign Language (ASL) to assist individuals with hearing impairments, thereby enhancing communication for all involved. Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality is crucial in this role, as you will often deal with sensitive information. You will also need to clarify any cultural misunderstandings that may arise during the interpretation process, ensuring that the communication is not only accurate but also culturally appropriate.
