CBS Stations is seeking an AR/VR News Designer to enhance news storytelling through clear, sharp, and engaging augmented and virtual reality visuals. This role focuses on creating visual tools to explain breaking news, developing coverage, and daily segments, prioritizing real storytelling support over spectacle. The designer will transform complex or fast-moving information into instantly understandable on-air visuals. Working directly with producers and editorial teams, the designer will concept, build, and refine real-time AR/VR elements, including environments, graphics, and visual moments, using Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, and Adobe tools under tight deadlines. The position is open to various CBS O&O station office locations. CBS News & Stations views AR/VR as an operational, scalable, and central component of its storytelling, positioning this role at the intersection of design, technology, and journalism to influence daily newscasts and major national events.
