About The Position

Under the general direction of the Home Office AR Lab Manager, the general responsibilities of this position are to lead the Home Office AR Lab associates to produce quality eyewear that meets all standards set forth by Eyemart Express (EME). The Home Office AR Lead Lab Technician will ensure the lab equipment is maintained per EME guidelines, and that the lab meets all safety, quality, customer service and productivity standards set by EME. The Lab Tech II is expected to train, supervise, motivate, review, and coach lab associates to ensure that the lab staff is following all EME policies and procedures. Specific Duties and Responsibilities An AR Lab Tech level II is a hands-on leader and effective communicator. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter as such, a Lab Tech II will assist in the plan, organize, communicate, supervise, coach and counsel. Be an active team member and assist with all phases of production in the AR Lab. Be responsible in the completion of set goals of production runs set for each shift. Ensure that all employees maintain a level of professionalism as required by the EME handbook and follow the policies and procedures of EME. Notify Home Office AR Lab Manager of any equipment failures or delays in production immediately. Ensure all documentation is being completed by AR Lab personnel. Ensure that the level of quality and workmanship in the lab is at or above the standard set by EME. An AR Lead Lab Technician must be a technical expert in the efficient production of quality eyeglasses and as such should be able to operate and maintain all home office AR lab equipment. Ensure that the daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance and cleaning is completed and documented, as well as do minor repairs. Ensure that a medical environment cleanliness standard is maintained daily. Equipment, supplies and materials not needed for production should be kept out of the production area. Daily basic housekeeping duties include but are not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces and anything to maintain a quality medical environment The Home Office AR Lead Technician is responsible to ensure productivity and expenses are managed to the following standards: Breakage is to be maintained at the values relative to workflow determined by upper management. Productivity is to be maintained at an average jobs per man-hour set forth by upper management. Keep job flow to meet customer service expectations. All jobs are expected to be completed and returned to the stores in time to meet the promised time as set by the stores with their patients. To accomplish this goal, the Home Office Lab Managers must effectively use the Fulfillment Dashboard and the Home Office Lab LMS to prioritize the job flow, make changes as necessary to accommodate patient needs and communicate with the stores frequently.
