This project will develop an advanced, customer-facing connected augmented reality application for vehicles, leveraging Android Automotive OS and Google Automotive Services SDK. The system will integrate real-time connected data features to enhance the driving experience. The application will run on the vehicle's infotainment system, interfacing with back-office system to process and provide an augmented reality experience. The development process will follow a structured approach, beginning with system design, followed by platform integration, base application implementation, feature development, testing, and final demonstration.

  • Define the architecture for the base application, ensuring compatibility with Android-based vehicle infotainment platforms.
  • Set up and configure the base application using the Android Automotive OS and Google Automotive Services SDK.
  • Perform comprehensive validation using both simulated playback data and live driving tests to ensure system reliability.
  • Evaluate navigation accuracy, UI responsiveness, and real-time connected data performance.
  • Identify and resolve system issues before final demonstration.
  • Conduct playback and live demonstrations showcasing system capabilities to engineering teams and management stakeholders.
  • Gather feedback for future refinements and potential enhancements.
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar.
  • Expertise with Unity, C#, Android Automotive OS, AOSP, Google Automotive Services SDK, Kotlin, Java and basic C++.
  • Basic 3D geometry knowledge.
  • Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality (AR/VR) application development experience.
  • Experience in working with Volumetric dataset.
