Requirements

  • A high school diploma and two (2) or more years of experience in an accounting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Understanding of accounting principles.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, computer reports and accounts receivable or accounts payable reports.
  • Ability to mathematically calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook software applications.
  • Understanding of basic database programs.
  • Ability to use 10-key by touch.
  • Proficient data entry.
  • Ability to operate a copier, fax machine and scanner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform transactional AR entries.
  • Perform advanced data entry into multiple accounting systems.
  • Review and validate data entries.
  • Perform complex account reconciliations.
  • Utilize and analyze data reporting.
  • Draft and create standard operating procedures and workflows.
  • Work with internal and external customers to resolve questions and problems.
