The Aquatics Supervisor also plans program activities, may teach activities, and coordinate activities with staff. They assist in training staff and preparing events as needed. Additionally, they ensure the safety and security of equipment and facilities, and process documentation with department operations. The Aquatics Supervisor will collaborate with District leadership on the strategic vision of the aquatics offerings at LARPD. While the Aquatics Field Supervisor is directly responsible for supervising staff, facility programs, services, and activities of program, the Aquatics Supervisor has ultimate responsibility for maximized program delivery and securing community facilities to enhance service delivery to the community. Performance requires the use of independence, initiative, and discretion. This classification is distinguished from the Recreation Manager in that the latter is responsible for strategic planning and management of all District recreation programs and facility operations.
