ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service and open communication between all departments, and the Members and guests. The Aquatics Supervisor assists with the daily operations of all assigned areas to include pools, staffing, guest interactions, cleanliness and overall operations on the pool deck. This person will directly supervise aquatics attendants to include hiring, training and scheduling as required. This person will implement and enforce Club policies while creating an environment of coaching and maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Ability to work varying shifts as needed to include days, evenings, week day and weekends. Perform on going regular inspections of all areas to ensure safety and a positive experience of Members and guests.

Requirements

  • Have at least three years of experience in a customer service setting
  • Have the ability to operate a computer.
  • Must have the ability to lift and move 30 lbs., 30% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must be at least 17 years old.
  • 18 years of age preferred.
  • Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills.
  • Competency in dealing with members, guests and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each Member and guest receive outstanding guests services by providing a friendly environment to include; proper greeting, knowledge of weekly event schedule, etc.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve any issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a safe workplace by utilizing “safety first” practices to remain accident-free.
  • Ensure knowledge and familiarity with all aquatics operations and be able to act calmly and professionally in times of emergency.
  • Communicate the rules of the club to the aquatics team, Members and guests.
  • Handle conflict as the need arises in a calm, professional manner.
  • Perform regular ongoing walk-throughs of all pool areas to ensure cleanliness, safety and organization.
  • Be a professional role model for employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Club Manager.
