About The Position

The positions available include Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard, and Water Safety Aide at Valley View Middle School Pool. Each role is part-time and requires a commitment to teaching and ensuring safety in the aquatic environment. The Water Safety Instructor will teach individuals of all ages using the 'Learn to Swim' Program, while the Lifeguard will supervise the aquatic area to prevent accidents and assist swimmers. The Water Safety Aide will support the instructor during swim lessons and learn how to teach swimming to participants of all ages. All positions require a minimum age of 16 years and specific certifications related to water safety and lifeguarding.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification for Instructors.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer with AED for Lifeguards.
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Aide Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months for Aides.
