About The Position

The Aquatic Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for conducting initial client assessments and developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs and goals. This role involves administering therapeutic exercises and modalities to enhance clients' mobility, strength, and pain management. Continuous assessment and documentation of client progress are essential, with necessary adjustments made to treatment plans to ensure effective rehabilitation. The specialist must maintain accurate records, ensure the cleanliness of therapy equipment, and collaborate with other staff to provide comprehensive client care while adhering to legal and ethical standards and YMCA policies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in related field.
• Current CPR/AED certifications.
• Must have an Aquatic Therapy Rehab Institute certification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client assessments.
• Develop treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve clients' mobility, strength, and pain management.
• Continuously assess and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of therapy equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with other staff to provide comprehensive client care.
• Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, as well as YMCA policies and procedures.
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff.
