About The Position

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Instructs swimming program by identifying learning objectives, presenting instructional methodologies, and providing appropriate feedback and stimulation for continuous learning. Provides the appropriate instruction for the class being offered. Evaluates participant’s progress by assessing degree of improvement. Assists participant in determining course of action to continue to improve swimming skills and level of health and fitness. Accurately instructs participants on safe and proper form; makes corrections professionally and provides feedback. Maintains thorough, accurate, and current attendance records. Is knowledgeable of McLeod Clarendon Health and Fitness programs and promotes them whenever appropriate. Maintains a neat, clean and orderly exercise environment. Returns all equipment to proper storage area. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess competent knowledge of specific swimming techniques related to all swimming strokes, as well as appropriate teaching methods.
  • Must possess excellent communication, motivational and coaching skills.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school.
  • Lifeguard certification or WSI certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
