About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a part-time Aquatic Fitness Instructor for our wellness program held at the Edinboro Legion Pool through the YMCA. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PART-TIME AQUATIC FITNESS INSTRUCTOR As an Aquatic Fitness Instructor at our Edinboro location, you assist members in making a healthy lifestyle change and build self-esteem through water fitness. Always alert around water, you provide personal attention, support and motivation. You are friendly and patient as you ensure the safety of participants and employees at all times. You lead water fitness classes with enthusiasm and motive members to commit to long-term participation in your classes. You implement fitness class plans based on participant abilities and keep the area clean and in order. You are also conscientious about keeping records up to date and accurate and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations. As someone who loves your job, you happily attend and participate in all training opportunities and program activities. Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Current CPR and First Aid Certification or obtain within 60 days of hire
Experience as an instructor or participant in aquatic exercise classes
Love for water fitness
Are you a people person who especially enjoys interacting with people around the pool?
Are you patient and able to remain calm when stressed?
Do you enjoy helping people progress on their fitness journey?
