About The Position

Gold's Gym is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Aqua Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging and dynamic water-based exercise classes. As an Aqua Group Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering safe, effective, and enjoyable workouts that cater to a diverse group of participants. This position offers a part-time schedule with flexible hours.

Requirements

  • Certification as an Aqua instructor (e.g., Aqua Zumba, Aqua Fit, Aqua Aerobics, Water Fitness).
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Previous experience leading Aqua or water-based fitness classes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, and proper body alignment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage participants.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with participants and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to adapt exercises and class structure to accommodate participants with different fitness levels and abilities.
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as per the class schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Aqua group fitness classes following Gold's Gym guidelines and standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative and challenging workout routines that focus on cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, and endurance.
  • Provide modifications and progressions to accommodate participants of different fitness levels and abilities.
  • Demonstrate proper form and technique to ensure participants exercise safely and effectively.
  • Create a positive and energetic atmosphere during classes to motivate and inspire participants.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions, cues, and feedback to help participants perform exercises correctly.
  • Offer encouragement and support to participants, fostering a sense of community and achievement.
  • Ensure the safety of participants by enforcing pool rules and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure their proper functioning and safety.
  • Stay informed about emergency procedures and be prepared to respond in case of any incidents.
  • Greet participants and create a welcoming environment.
  • Assist participants with any questions, concerns, or modifications during class.
  • Build relationships with participants, fostering a sense of community within the Aqua Fit program.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new exercises, and teaching methodologies related to Aqua.
  • Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and any other relevant qualifications.
