About The Position

Brakebush is a value-added processor of great tasting chicken products. We’ve been US Family Owned and Operated since 1925, and for over 100 years, our sole focus has been chicken and how to craft it to exceed our customers’ expectations. We have dedicated team members across five production facilities working to make the highest-quality chicken served in foodservice kitchens large and small and at national chains. As an AQL Clerk, you will be a main point of contact for the company with regards to AQL reporting for all meat loads at the facility. This includes verification of records for bone/cartilage reports, maintenance and tracking of the hold/release process throughout your shift, maintenance and tracking of laboratory results and their COA’s, as well as assisting with covering the label area when needed.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 to 10 hours per day in a 40-degree environment.
  • Must be available to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to operate a company issued computer or tablet.
  • 1 year of experience in QA and/or production.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary or required.
  • Must complete and successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft office/SAP/Infinity experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily AQL Records verification and reporting; this includes Safety Chain AQL records verification (SAP and SharePoint received lbs. verification).
  • Tracking kill certificates from all incoming meat loads.
  • Maintenance and tracking of the bone/cartilage information includes weekly/monthly email notifications to suppliers.
  • Tracking and maintenance of the hold/release process throughout the shifts, this includes sending failure email notifications holding/releasing product in SAP, entering hold tag information in the database and archiving them as needed.
  • Tracking and maintaining laboratory results and COAs.
  • Maintain active and effective communication with other departments and management regarding issues, concerns, etc.
  • Covering the labeling area as needed.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.
