Position Summary: The Anesthesia Quality Institute (AQI) was established by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) in 2008 to facilitate practice-based quality management through education and quality data feedback. The AQI is a Patient Safety Organization (PSO) and home to NACOR, the largest anesthesia registry in the world. NACOR is also a Qualified Registry (QR) and Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR). The AQI Analytics Solutions Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive data and analytics solutions to healthcare stakeholders, including hospitals, health systems, clinical practices, and industry through AQI’s qualitative and quantitative clinical data registries. This role combines product management, data analytics expertise, program management, and client engagement to ensure successful integration, analysis, and utilization of AQI registry data products at stakeholder sites while providing critical operations and research support for clinical quality improvement initiatives of stakeholders. The Analytics Solutions Manager is the primary provider of analytic support to AQI’s quantitative registry, the National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry (NACOR). This position will collaborate closely with AQI’s Senior Operations Manager, Applications Development Manager, and Solutions Architect to lead statistical analysis and maintain key performance indicators and metrics, while ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across this national clinical data registry. This role will provide key deliverables, including but not limited to standard reports for measures and metrics, custom reports for clinical and industry stakeholders, and data studies for presentations and publications. This position serves as Product Manager for AQI’s two qualitative registries, the Closed Claims Registry, consisting of standardized summaries and analyses of trends specific to closed anesthesia malpractice claims, and the Anesthesia Incident Reporting System (AIRS), a nationwide system for collecting individual anesthesia adverse events.
