At RA, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are actively seeking Aquatics Maintenance and Facility Assistants to join our Aquatics team! Typical tasks include construction, plumbing, painting, plastering, caulking, light masonry, electrical work, and troubleshooting pool mechanical systems. Assistants also assemble equipment, relocate heavy items, manage inventory, and maintain stock levels of chemicals, janitorial supplies, and administrative materials. They administer chemical dosing to recreational water amenities, follow safety protocols outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and monitor for adverse reactions. Candidates must hold a current American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification (provided upon hire) and a Fairfax County approved Pool Operator License (provided upon hire) and are expected to consistently demonstrate the skills outlined in their certification, adhere to all standards and protocols associated with it, and maintain its validity through ongoing compliance and renewal as required. This position offers 30-40 hours per week from May-September. These hours depend on operational needs and are subject to change. Aquatics Seasonal Leadership staff are required to attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions as discussed during the interview process. The position is allowed 10-days of unpaid vacation time, in addition to your regularly scheduled days off and no more than 7 consecutive vacation days may be taken at one time.
